Where dangerous goods are being carried in scope of the regulations there is a fundamental need to ensure that the delivery documentation and instructions in writing (where required) for the driver is readily available and correct.

Dangerous goods notes / shippers declarations

Whether by road, sea or air we can produce the correct dangerous goods declarations, saving you money time and additional costs if the dangerous goods are rejected at ports and airports due to poor declarations.

Because of the many modes of transport, there are variations in the way that they want them to be produced; in some cases we have found that this can also be the case depending on which State you are shipping goods into.

Where goods are being transported multi-modal, i.e. both sea and air, there is no need to have 2 separate documents, we can produce a multi-modal form which will cover the whole of the journey.

Instructions in Writing

Since 1st July 2009 the requirements for Instructions in writing (tremcards) has changed.

The Instructions in Writing no longer have to be for the specific UN # or group of dangerous goods, but rather a 4 page document that covers all classes and chemicals.

The Instructions in Writing now have to be issued by the Carrier and not the Consignor, and they are to be readily available in the vehicle at all times whilst carrying dangerous goods.

A further change is that they need only be in the language that the driver understands and not as previously needed for the country of origin, all transit countries, the country of destination and that of the driver.

This 4 page model can be reduced to 2 pages, as long as all the information is readable.
